What is the Audi Advanced Key?
Audi puts a premium on comfort and ease of use. This is why all the new models that we have in our showroom have keyless entry and starting. This technology lets you get into your car and start driving, all while keeping your key fob in your pocket or purse.
The system is controlled by proximity sensors that are located in the trunks, doors and key fobs. Here are a few things you should know about Audi Advanced Key.
1. Proximity Detection
Audi proximity detection enables you to begin and enter your vehicle without having remove the key from your pocket or purse. This system allows you to unlock your car's doors and trunk, as well as the engine, by a single click of the sensor button on the key.
A sound-based sensor, also called a capacitive sensor, is able to detect the presence of objects in the vicinity using acoustic wave. The sensors generate an oscillator-generated signal. This signal is then transmitted into the air by the microphone that transforms it into an audio file. The audio files are evaluated to determine how similar they are and how close they are. If they are close enough, the system will transmit an alert signal to the key and send an ID signal that is in line with the vehicle.
Proximity detection is only the beginning of an easier and more enjoyable driving experience. The Audi advanced key features remote start which gives you to start your vehicle from outside the range of your key FOB. This is helpful when loading groceries in the boot, or securing your children in their seats or packing for an outing with the family.
Audi pre sense basic is a safety feature that helps you avoid accidents by taking action prior to an accident occurs. It integrates the data from different systems, including the front camera and radar sensors of Audi side assist, to determine the likelihood of a collision and alert drivers. It also triggers the automatic braking system at speeds of up to 250 km/h (155,3) and alert the driver via the head-up or virtual cockpit display.

2. Authentication
When you press your key fob's lock button, the Audi advanced key system communicates with the car's sensors. It sends a confirmation number to the computer in the car, which confirms that it's a valid key fob. This prevents unauthorised access to the vehicle without a valid key fob.
The key fob can also be used to start the car from a pocket or purse. The Audi advanced key system makes use of proximity sensors inside the trunk lid and doors together with the radio pulse generator on the key fob. If the key fob is within roughly five feet of the vehicle, the sensors will detect your presence and open the doors. When you open the trunk or use the door handle, the vehicle recognizes the key and activates the motor.
You can also use your key fob to activate your vehicle's push-button start feature. You can start the engine by pressing the Start/Stop buttons that are integrated into the center console when the key fob is in your purse or pocket. The car's sensors will check that the key fob is genuine and begin the engine when they've verified it.
The Audi advanced key system comes with a keyless entry feature that allows you to unlock your car doors by simply touching the handle of the exterior door. This is extremely useful when your hands are full or wearing gloves, like when you're carrying groceries or children into the vehicle. The system includes a trunk-release button that lets you open the trunk using an action. This is an excellent option for those who have to carry a lot of food items or children into the vehicle.

3. Keyless Entry
Keyless entry systems can be a huge option when you're carrying children, groceries or other gear. You can unlock your car by touching a button or sensor that is mounted on the door handle (some models have this technology built into the lock). The key fob will activate the sensors in the vehicle if you are carrying it. This informs the vehicle that you are nearby and that your finger is on a button. This will prevent unauthorized use of the vehicle by making sure only you are able to open its doors.
Keyless entry systems often allow you to remotely start your car without a physical key. Sensors mounted in the trunk or tailgate and, sometimes, in the doors of the vehicle, are employed to accomplish this. The sensors will open the doors and start the engine of the vehicle if the fob is within 5 feet. After that, you can push a button to start your vehicle. This is a great method to warm your car prior to when you leave in the morning to go to work or when it is cold outside.
Some of the most advanced keyless entry systems don't even require fobs. The cars can be unlocked and reopened by using a smartphone application. This is a great solution for families or business owners who would like their employees to have access to their company cars. Certain keyless entry systems even keep website track of the driver's preferred seat position and cabin temperature. This can save you a lot of time when you go to a parking spot.
Some of the more advanced versions of keyless entry systems have the ability to activate the rear hatch with a touch which will automatically shut and secure your cargo space with a single wave of your foot. This technology is available in a variety of Audi vehicles, and, based on the model, it may be an option that is standard or an upgrade that costs money. These systems are not foolproof, and can be bypassed by thieves with a little technical expertise.
4. Push-Button Start
Audi unlike other vehicle brands that offer remote starting at the factory, doesn't offer it. However, the company does provide a different option that has similar features as remote start. It's called the Audi Advanced Key.
This feature is not an automatic remote start system, but it's a great option for those who wish to start their car without having to insert the key. This feature allows you to unlock the doors of your Audi A4 or start the car by pressing a single button. This button is located where you usually find the ignition in a conventional vehicle.
To activate this feature, you will need to have your key fob in your pocket, and close enough to your car. Sensors in the trunk or door handles will be activated when you and your key fob are within five feet of the car. Once you have an equivocal signal and correct code the vehicle will allow you to close the doors or start the engine.
You can start driving your Audi A4 with the touch of a button, without having to dig around in your purse or pockets for your keys. This feature is ideal for people who park their cars frequently. It can also be beneficial for those who need to warm up their vehicle quickly to get on the road.
Once you're inside your vehicle the system will continue to communicate with the keyfob. This is done by using encrypted signals to protect against hacking. It also offers you a Keyless Go card as a backup. It is credit card sized and can be used to unlock the vehicle in the event that your key fob gets lost or is malfunctioning.
